As a deepening low tracks to our near east this morning, widespread rain and showers will continue with a risk of thunder. Strong winds may reach gale force for a time early this morning with stronger gusts around any heavy showers. The winds will ease slightly into this afternoon as the low clears eastwards with partly clear skies
