Sunny breaks with moderate winds.


Moderate winds ease light to moderate this afternoon as moderate seas continue while high pressure remains centred to our south. Seas increase slight to moderate tomorrow night as the ridging shifts eastward. Plumes of tropical moisture will then move into the area tomorrow, bringing isolated to scattered showers.

Lots of low cloud… possible mist or fog later…


There are convincing indications that the low cloud over us now will possibly sink further to create patchy mist or fog at times, with occasional visibility reduction, lasting into Friday. The ridge just to our south, will keep a light southwest breeze for the rest of the week; slight seas increase moderate over the weekend as a front approaching from the northwest combines with tropical moisture advancing from the south.

Showers taper off later today as the nearby trough disintegrates and high pressure builds a ridge to our south. Moderate southwesterly winds are maintained through the week and seas abate to slight.

Cloudy with warmer southwest breeze…


Ahead of a weak frontal trough, moderate southwest winds may become strong at times this morning. Isolated to scattered showers with a slight chance of thunder moves in with the front during the afternoon onward. Winds return to a moderate southwest flow and seas decrease becoming slight by Wednesday as high pressure builds back into the area.

High pressure now to our southwest will provide a bright start with light winds today. As this high moves to our south a developing frontal trough will begin to approach tonight, bringing a few showers and a chance of thunder Tuesday. The front will dissipate as it moves to our south and the Bermuda-Azores high will ridge to our south providing mainly moderate winds for the rest of the week.

Bright Bermuda Day – slightly cooler & drier than normal
For the start of Bermuda Day a ridge of high pressure settles overhead, thus the morning begins cool with mainly light breezes but by mid-afternoon a moderate southwest flow draws in warmer air with increasing humidity. This sets up for the next cold front sweeping through early Saturday morning with showers and strong winds; cloudy skies linger into Sunday. Moderate seas rise to rough Saturday morning to Sunday afternoon.

strong & clouds thicken to give showers as of Monday night. Expect heavier showers and isolated thunderstorms with gale force gusts on Tuesday as the cold front gradually passes over us. Slight to moderate seas build moderate Monday & Tuesday then gradually decrease for the remainder of the week…..   hmmmm.

Look for a moderate breeze and cooler temperatures through Friday under passing clouds and the odd very light shower, with some breaks and mainly good visibility as high pressure nudges closer from the northwest.

Becoming humid, warm and windy…
Southwest winds will gradually increase becoming strong by tonight as the nearby high pressure area sinks to the southeast, allowing a series of lows to migrate west through north of us. Slight seas and light winds increase in response to the approaching lows warranting a small craft warning for strong winds as of tonight. Inclement weather persists into the start of the week.
