The Bermuda-Azores high will maintain fair to fine weather, light to moderate winds and smooth to slight seas through Friday. An area of showers and thunderstorms from western Cuba across the southeastern Gulf of Mexico is being monitored for possible development into this season’s first tropical cyclone.

Hurricane Season runs from June – November, but it looks like we have an early starter at the gate.

1. A large area of cloudiness, showers, and thunderstorms extending
from western Cuba across the southeastern Gulf of Mexico, the
Florida Straits, and much of the Florida Peninsula is associated
with a broad surface low and trough interacting with an upper-level
low. This system could acquire some subtropical or tropical
characteristics while it moves slowly northward across the eastern
Gulf of Mexico during the next few days. Regardless of subtropical
or tropical cyclone formation, this system will enhance rainfall
across portions of Florida and the northeastern Gulf Coast during

Monday.

A slow moving showery trough currently near overhead clears southeast through today allowing conditions to improve and settle for the rest of the forecast period. Moderate winds ease light to moderate from later today with slight to moderate seas gradually abating smooth to slight.

A moderate breeze under a thickening blanket of high clouds.

High clouds thicken going forward as a weak, slow-moving frontal boundary draws closer over the next several days and eventually passes south on Saturday. This will increase our shower chances from late Thursday through Friday, though winds tend to decrease in time. Slight to moderate seas slowly abate late in the week.

High pressure to the northeast will maintain fair weather and moderate to strong winds today. A cold front to our northwest will stall through Wednesday, then move in for Friday as the high retreats northeast. Fair weather and mainly moderate winds prevail through Wednesday. Showers develop ahead of the front Thursday and as the front moves in on Friday. Seas remain mainly slight to moderate all week.

High pressure sitting to our east encompasses Bermuda with a ridge through early next week, ensuring mainly fair conditions. Light winds from the southeastern quadrants increase moderate late Sunday before veering pure south for early next week. Smooth to slight seas react increasing slight to moderate late Sunday onward.

A broad ridge of high pressure over Bermuda will provide another fine day with mainly light winds today. The high will move to our east tonight while maintaining a ridge west across Bermuda continuing to produce fine weather and light to moderate winds through Saturday. Expect moderate winds and a few more clouds Sunday and Monday while remaining dry. Smooth to slight seas persist through Sunday.

A broad ridge of high pressure stretches from the southeastern U.S. eastward across Bermuda. As this high gradually moves eastward across Bermuda it will provide fine weather and light to moderate winds into Saturday. With the high then off to our east expect a few more clouds developing later Saturday and Sunday while still remaining dry. Expect smooth to slight seas through the weekend.
